About the role
Nearby Pets India is building a better way for pet parents to find trusted pet shops, services, and care nearby. We're looking for a Digital Marketing Intern to help us grow our organic reach and social presence.
This is a remote, part-time internship suited to someone early in their marketing career who wants hands-on experience across SEO, social media, and content. You'll work directly with the founding team, own real campaigns rather than busywork, and see the impact of your work in live traffic and engagement numbers.
What you will do
- Plan and schedule social media content across Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube Shorts
- Write short-form copy for posts, captions, and ad creatives
- Assist with on-page SEO: meta titles, descriptions, alt text, and internal linking
- Research keywords and competitor content for pet care, pet shops, and pet services
- Support blog content production, from outlines to publishing in the CMS
- Track performance in Google Analytics 4 and Search Console, and share weekly reports
- Coordinate with the design team on creatives and campaign assets
- Help run and monitor small paid campaigns on Meta and Google Ads
What we are looking for
- Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related field
- Strong written English, with the ability to adapt tone for social and web content
- Familiarity with Instagram, Facebook, and at least one scheduling or analytics tool
- Basic understanding of SEO concepts such as keywords, meta tags, and backlinks
- Comfortable working independently in a remote setup with regular check-ins
- Available for a minimum of 20 hours per week
- Genuine interest in pets and the pet care industry is a plus
- Prior internship, freelance, or personal project experience in digital marketing is a plus
