About the role
Nearby Pets India is looking for a part-time Financial Auditor to take ownership of our statutory compliance and company filings. You'll work on-site with our finance team to keep books audit-ready and ensure every filing goes out accurate and on time.
This role suits a qualified CA, CA Inter, or experienced accounts professional who wants a focused part-time engagement rather than a full-time desk. You'll handle ROC filings, GST and TDS returns, and internal audit reviews, and report directly to the founder and finance lead.
What you will do
- Prepare and file annual ROC returns including AOC-4 and MGT-7 with the MCA portal
- Review and file monthly and quarterly GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B) and annual GSTR-9
- Manage TDS computation, challan payments, and quarterly TDS return filings
- Conduct internal audits of accounts payable, receivable, and expense records
- Reconcile bank statements, vendor ledgers, and inventory records on a monthly basis
- Prepare financial statements in line with applicable accounting standards
- Coordinate with external statutory auditors and provide required schedules and documentation
- Track statutory due dates and flag compliance risks before deadlines
- Maintain organised records of invoices, contracts, and filing acknowledgements
- Support the founder with monthly MIS reports and cash flow summaries
What we are looking for
- CA, CA Inter, CMA, or M.Com with relevant audit and compliance experience
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with Indian statutory filings
- Working knowledge of the Companies Act 2013, GST law, and Income Tax provisions
- Practical experience with the MCA portal, GST portal, and TRACES
- Proficiency in Tally, Zoho Books, or similar accounting software
- Strong Excel skills including pivot tables and reconciliation workflows
- Attention to detail and a track record of meeting statutory deadlines
- Able to work on-site for the agreed part-time schedule
- Experience in retail, e-commerce, or a startup environment is a plus
