Grooming and coat care in Chokpot

The aim is dry, clean skin — appearance comes second. Chokpot being monsoon-heavy, near-constant moisture means skin, paw and bedding hygiene need real attention, so a regular brush prevents most of what would otherwise become a vet visit. Maintain strict tick, flea and worm control, which peak in the wet season.

The first week

The first week is about routine, not excitement. Feed at consistent times, let the kitten approach people in its own time rather than being passed around, and keep the diet unchanged at first.

Feeding a medium cat here

Feed age-appropriate food matched to a medium build, and change brands gradually rather than overnight. In monsoon-heavy conditions water matters as much as food — near-constant moisture means skin, paw and bedding hygiene need real attention, and appetite often dips before anything else shows.

Space and the outdoors with a Exotic Short Hair Kittens

Homes around Chokpot usually come with their own ground, which takes the pressure off a formal exercise plan. A medium-sized breed manages this well when the outdoor time is genuinely regular.

Exercise and routine through the extended rainy season in Chokpot

Build the day around local conditions rather than a figure from a breed chart. In Chokpot, near-constant moisture means skin, paw and bedding hygiene need real attention, which makes timing the variable that matters. Several brief outings suit this size better than one long one. Ensure good airflow indoors to keep the coat and bedding from staying damp.
