KRP Tech Solutions (OPC) Private Limited, the operator of Nearby Pets India, has self-audited this platform — product pages, checkout and every prompt — and declared to the Central Consumer Protection Authority that it is free of the thirteen dark patterns named in the 2023 Guidelines. In particular:
- No drip pricing. Pet prices, delivery and any card or wallet fee are shown upfront on the product page, not added at checkout.
- No basket sneaking. Nothing is pre-ticked or added to your cart without you choosing it.
- No false urgency. No fake countdown timers, stock tags or scarcity numbers.
- No subscription traps. Anything recurring can be cancelled from your account settings.
- No confirm-shaming. Saying no to offers or notifications uses plain, neutral wording.
