Is the Siamese Kitten right for Kodaikanal?

Kodaikanal is humid coastal — moisture in the air can encourage skin and ear issues if grooming slips — and the Siamese Kitten is a small-sized, social, vocal, smart breed. Those two facts decide most of what daily life looks like here. A breed this size copes well, provided shade and water are always within reach. Keep bedding dry and the resting area well-ventilated, especially during the monsoon.

Health and vet care in Kodaikanal

Preventive care in Kodaikanal is largely a matter of anticipating the long monsoon. Parasite control and skin checks earn their keep here more than they would elsewhere. The vaccination record travels with the kitten; staying on schedule is the single best habit there is. Brush regularly — humidity makes mats and tangles form faster in longer coats.

The long monsoon is the stretch that needs planning. Moisture in the air can encourage skin and ear issues if grooming slips, so keep sessions short and frequent. Consistency does more for a Siamese Kitten than intensity ever will. Brush regularly — humidity makes mats and tangles form faster in longer coats.
