The first week

Expect a quiet few days. Most puppies eat less and sleep more while they settle. Keep the food the same as before the move, introduce the household gradually rather than all at once, and hold off on visitors for a bit.

Living with a French Mastiff Puppy in Guntur

Homes here often have more space and independent plots, which gives a French Mastiff Puppy room to move and settle in comfortably. Owners in the southern region tend to find this dog a family friendly, good with kids companion, and the settling-in is usually easier than the first week suggests.

Grooming and coat care in Guntur

Let the weather set the schedule, not the calendar. With the air stays humid through much of the year, so coat and skin care need attention, a French Mastiff Puppy's coat and skin want checking more often through the long monsoon. On a larger coat, matting and trapped moisture are what to catch early. Dry the coat and ears thoroughly after baths or rain to prevent fungal and skin issues.

Feeding a giant dog here

Feed age-appropriate food matched to a giant build, and change brands gradually rather than overnight. In coastal tropical conditions water matters as much as food — the air stays humid through much of the year, so coat and skin care need attention, and appetite often dips before anything else shows.

Health and vet care in Guntur

Preventive care in Guntur is largely a matter of anticipating the long monsoon. Parasite control and skin checks earn their keep here more than they would elsewhere. The vaccination record travels with the puppy; staying on schedule is the single best habit there is. Keep bedding dry and the resting area well-ventilated, especially during the monsoon.

Guntur is hottest in May, averaging 40°C in the afternoon, and stays above 38°C from March to May. A French Mastiff needs real protection from that because its short muzzle makes panting less effective at shedding heat and a giant body sheds heat slowly: walks before 8 am and after 7 pm, a cool tiled floor or a cooler in the afternoons, fresh water in more than one place, and never a parked car.

Winters in Guntur stay warm, with even December nights around 17°C, so there is no cold season to plan for.

The rainy season runs from July to October, and October is usually the wettest month. Check for ticks after every walk.

For a new French Mastiff puppy, the easiest months to arrive in Guntur are November to January: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
