Feeding a small dog here

Feed age-appropriate food matched to a small build, and change brands gradually rather than overnight. In coastal tropical conditions water matters as much as food — moisture in the air can encourage skin and ear issues if grooming slips, and appetite often dips before anything else shows.

Grooming and coat care in Krishnagiri

The aim is dry, clean skin — appearance comes second. Krishnagiri being coastal tropical, moisture in the air can encourage skin and ear issues if grooming slips, so a regular brush prevents most of what would otherwise become a vet visit. Keep bedding dry and the resting area well-ventilated, especially during the monsoon.

The first week

Expect a quiet few days. Most puppies eat less and sleep more while they settle. Keep the food the same as before the move, introduce the household gradually rather than all at once, and hold off on visitors for a bit.

Space and the outdoors with a Pomeranian Puppy

Homes around Krishnagiri usually come with their own ground, which takes the pressure off a formal exercise plan. A small-sized breed manages this well when the outdoor time is genuinely regular.

With independent houses common, there is usually room for a small-sized breed to exercise at home. Owners in the southern region tend to find this dog a vivacious, bold, intelligent companion, and the settling-in is usually easier than the first week suggests.

Krishnagiri is hottest in April, averaging 40°C in the afternoon, and stays above 38°C from March to May. A Pomeranian needs real protection from that because its double coat holds heat close to the body: walks before 8 am and after 7 pm, a cool tiled floor or a cooler in the afternoons, fresh water in more than one place, and never a parked car.

Winters are mild, with December nights around 15°C, so cold is not a concern.

Most of the year's rain falls in September. Check for ticks after every walk; dry the coat right down to the skin after it gets wet, or it can develop skin infections.

For a new Pomeranian puppy, the easiest months to arrive are January, August, October, November and December: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
