Space and the outdoors with a Afghan Hound Puppy

Space is rarely the constraint here; the routine is what needs attention. For a aloof, dignified, independent dog the fit is usually good either way.

Living with a Afghan Hound Puppy in Malikipuram

Homes here often have more space and independent plots, which gives a Afghan Hound Puppy room to move and settle in comfortably. With more room to work with, the routine can stay informal, though it should still be regular.

Is the Afghan Hound Puppy right for Malikipuram?

The Afghan Hound Puppy does well in Malikipuram, with one caveat worth knowing up front: moisture in the air can encourage skin and ear issues if grooming slips. For a aloof, dignified, independent, large-sized breed that mostly changes when things happen rather than what happens. Brush regularly — humidity makes mats and tangles form faster in longer coats.

Exercise and routine through the long monsoon in Malikipuram

The long monsoon is the stretch that needs planning. Moisture in the air can encourage skin and ear issues if grooming slips, so split the activity across two cooler outings rather than one long session. Consistency does more for a Afghan Hound Puppy than intensity ever will. Stay current on tick and flea prevention, which thrive in warm, damp conditions.

The first week

The first week is about routine, not excitement. Feed at consistent times, let the puppy approach people in its own time rather than being passed around, and keep the diet unchanged at first.

Winters in Malikipuram stay warm, with even January nights around 20°C, so there is no cold season to plan for.

The rainy season runs from June to October, and October is usually the wettest month. Check for ticks after every walk; dry inside the ears after baths and rain, since droopy ears trap moisture.
