Exercise and routine through the cold winter season in Siang

Build the day around local conditions rather than a figure from a breed chart. In Siang, the cooler climate suits thick-coated breeds but needs winter planning for others, which makes timing the variable that matters. Several brief outings suit this size better than one long one. Older pets may need joint support as cold can stiffen movement.

Living with a Border Collie Puppy in Siang

With independent houses common, there is usually room for a medium-sized breed to exercise at home. Owners in the North-East tend to find this dog a family friendly, good with kids companion, and the settling-in is usually easier than the first week suggests.

Grooming and coat care in Siang

Let the weather set the schedule, not the calendar. With the cooler climate suits thick-coated breeds but needs winter planning for others, a Border Collie Puppy's coat and skin want checking more often through the cold winter season. On a smaller coat, irritation shows up well before matting does. Provide a warm, draught-free sleeping spot and a coat for short-haired breeds in winter.

Feeding a medium dog here

Diet is simpler than most guides make it. Good food suited to a medium frame, fixed mealtimes, and any change phased in over a week. Because the cooler climate suits thick-coated breeds but needs winter planning for others, keep water available and watch intake through the cold winter season.

The first week

The first week is about routine, not excitement. Feed at consistent times, let the puppy approach people in its own time rather than being passed around, and keep the diet unchanged at first.
