Is the Rottweiler Puppy right for Guwahati?

Guwahati is high-rainfall tropical — near-constant moisture means skin, paw and bedding hygiene need real attention — and the Rottweiler Puppy is a large-sized, family friendly, good with kids breed. Those two facts decide most of what daily life looks like here. A breed this size needs its hard exercise moved to the cooler hours. Maintain strict tick, flea and worm control, which peak in the wet season.

Health and vet care in Guwahati

Preventive care in Guwahati is largely a matter of anticipating the extended rainy season. Parasite control and skin checks earn their keep here more than they would elsewhere. The vaccination record travels with the puppy; staying on schedule is the single best habit there is. Keep a dry, raised resting area — prolonged damp leads to skin and paw problems.

The first week

Expect a quiet few days. Most puppies eat less and sleep more while they settle. Keep the food the same as before the move, introduce the household gradually rather than all at once, and hold off on visitors for a bit.

Exercise and routine through the extended rainy season in Guwahati

Build the day around local conditions rather than a figure from a breed chart. In Guwahati, near-constant moisture means skin, paw and bedding hygiene need real attention, which makes timing the variable that matters. Two shorter outings work better here for a breed this size. Keep a dry, raised resting area — prolonged damp leads to skin and paw problems.

Apartment living with a Rottweiler Puppy

Space is the binding constraint in a city, and a settled temperament matters more in a shared building than anywhere else. For a family friendly, good with kids dog the fit is usually good either way.

Winters are cool rather than cold, with January nights around 10°C.

The rainy season runs from April to September, and June is usually the wettest month. Check for ticks after every walk.
