Living with a French Mastiff Puppy in Tihu (Pt)

Homes here often have more space and independent plots, which gives a French Mastiff Puppy room to move and settle in comfortably. Owners in the North-East tend to find this dog a family friendly, good with kids companion, and the settling-in is usually easier than the first week suggests.

Grooming and coat care in Tihu (Pt)

The aim is dry, clean skin — appearance comes second. Tihu (Pt) being lush, wet tropical, rainfall is among the highest in the country, so wet-weather care is essential, so a regular brush prevents most of what would otherwise become a vet visit. Ensure good airflow indoors to keep the coat and bedding from staying damp.

Space and the outdoors with a French Mastiff Puppy

Homes around Tihu (Pt) usually come with their own ground, which takes the pressure off a formal exercise plan. A breed this size needs that outdoor time to be dependable, not occasional.

Exercise and routine through the extended rainy season in Tihu (Pt)

Build the day around local conditions rather than a figure from a breed chart. In Tihu (Pt), rainfall is among the highest in the country, so wet-weather care is essential, which makes timing the variable that matters. Two shorter outings work better here for a breed this size. Towel-dry after every walk in the rains and check between the toes for irritation.

The first week

Expect a quiet few days. Most puppies eat less and sleep more while they settle. Keep the food the same as before the move, introduce the household gradually rather than all at once, and hold off on visitors for a bit.

Summer in Tihu (Pt) peaks in June at about 33°C. The rainy season runs from April to September, and June is usually the wettest month. Check for ticks after every walk.
