Feeding a small dog here

Diet is simpler than most guides make it. Good food suited to a small frame, fixed mealtimes, and any change phased in over a week. Because summers are long and intense, so heat management is the single biggest priority, keep water available and watch intake through the dry summer months.

Grooming and coat care in Rapar

The aim is dry, clean skin — appearance comes second. Rapar being hot, dry, summers are long and intense, so heat management is the single biggest priority, so a regular brush prevents most of what would otherwise become a vet visit. Walk early in the morning or after sunset when the ground is cool, never on hot pavement.

The first week

Expect a quiet few days. Most puppies eat less and sleep more while they settle. Keep the food the same as before the move, introduce the household gradually rather than all at once, and hold off on visitors for a bit.

Space and the outdoors with a Pug Puppy

Homes around Rapar usually come with their own ground, which takes the pressure off a formal exercise plan. A small-sized breed manages this well when the outdoor time is genuinely regular.

Health and vet care in Rapar

Local climate decides which problems actually turn up. Given summers are long and intense, so heat management is the single biggest priority, the recurring ones here are skin and coat trouble, parasites and hydration — not the whole textbook. Keep vaccination and deworming on schedule, and book the check before the dry summer months rather than during it. A light summer trim (for double-coated breeds, never shave to the skin) helps comfort.

Rapar is hottest in May, averaging 41°C in the afternoon, and stays above 38°C from April to June. A Pug needs real protection from that because its short muzzle makes panting less effective at shedding heat: walks before 8 am and after 7 pm, a cool tiled floor or a cooler in the afternoons, fresh water in more than one place, and never a parked car.

Winters are cool rather than cold, with January nights around 10°C. A Pug has a short, thin coat, so a light sweater helps on the coldest nights.

The rainy season runs from July to August, and August is usually the wettest month. Check for ticks after every walk.

For a new Pug puppy, the easiest months to arrive in Rapar are February: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
