The first week

The first week is about routine, not excitement. Feed at consistent times, let the puppy approach people in its own time rather than being passed around, and keep the diet unchanged at first.

Is the Orignal Toy Pom Puppy right for Thasra?

Start with the weather, not the breed standard. Here the dry heat means hydration and shade matter more than almost anything else, and a tiny-sized dog feels that more than an owner expects. The Orignal Toy Pom Puppy adapts well to Thasra on a sensible routine — steady hydration and shade rather than reduced activity. A light summer trim (for double-coated breeds, never shave to the skin) helps comfort.

Space and the outdoors with a Orignal Toy Pom Puppy

Space is rarely the constraint here; the routine is what needs attention. For a family friendly, good with kids dog the fit is usually good either way.

Feeding a tiny dog here

Feed age-appropriate food matched to a tiny build, and change brands gradually rather than overnight. In warm and arid conditions water matters as much as food — the dry heat means hydration and shade matter more than almost anything else, and appetite often dips before anything else shows.

Thasra is hottest in May, averaging 43°C in the afternoon, and stays above 38°C from April to June. A Orignal Toy Pom needs real protection from that because its double coat holds heat close to the body: walks before 8 am and after 7 pm, a cool tiled floor or a cooler in the afternoons, fresh water in more than one place, and never a parked car.

Winters are cool rather than cold, with January nights around 11°C. A light sweater helps a tiny Orignal Toy Pom on the coldest nights.

The rainy season runs from July to August, and July is usually the wettest month. Check for ticks after every walk; dry the coat right down to the skin after it gets wet, or it can develop skin infections.

For a new Orignal Toy Pom puppy, the easiest months to arrive in Thasra are November to December: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
