Exercise and routine through the long monsoon in Aluva

The long monsoon is the stretch that needs planning. The air stays humid through much of the year, so coat and skin care need attention, so split the activity across two cooler outings rather than one long session. Consistency does more for a French Mastiff Puppy than intensity ever will. Keep bedding dry and the resting area well-ventilated, especially during the monsoon.

The first week

The first week is about routine, not excitement. Feed at consistent times, let the puppy approach people in its own time rather than being passed around, and keep the diet unchanged at first.

Grooming and coat care in Aluva

Let the weather set the schedule, not the calendar. With the air stays humid through much of the year, so coat and skin care need attention, a French Mastiff Puppy's coat and skin want checking more often through the long monsoon. On a larger coat, matting and trapped moisture are what to catch early. Keep bedding dry and the resting area well-ventilated, especially during the monsoon.

Feeding a giant dog here

Feed age-appropriate food matched to a giant build, and change brands gradually rather than overnight. In warm and humid conditions water matters as much as food — the air stays humid through much of the year, so coat and skin care need attention, and appetite often dips before anything else shows.
