Living with a Chow Chow Puppy in Kollam

Larger plots and open surroundings make this a comfortable setting for an active Chow Chow Puppy. Owners throughout peninsular India tend to find this dog a dignified, independent, loyal companion, and the settling-in is usually easier than the first week suggests.

Is the Chow Chow Puppy right for Kollam?

Start with the weather, not the breed standard. Here the sea-influenced humidity makes ventilation and dry bedding important, and a medium-sized dog feels that more than an owner expects. The Chow Chow Puppy adapts well to Kollam on a sensible routine — steady hydration and shade rather than reduced activity. Brush regularly — humidity makes mats and tangles form faster in longer coats.

Health and vet care in Kollam

Preventive care in Kollam is largely a matter of anticipating the long monsoon. Parasite control and skin checks earn their keep here more than they would elsewhere. The vaccination record travels with the puppy; staying on schedule is the single best habit there is. Brush regularly — humidity makes mats and tangles form faster in longer coats.

The first week

Expect a quiet few days. Most puppies eat less and sleep more while they settle. Keep the food the same as before the move, introduce the household gradually rather than all at once, and hold off on visitors for a bit.
