Is the American Bully XXL Size Puppy right for Kothamangalam?

Start with the weather, not the breed standard. Here the air stays humid through much of the year, so coat and skin care need attention, and a large-sized dog feels that more than an owner expects. The American Bully XXL Size Puppy adapts well to Kothamangalam on a sensible routine — shorter outings, timed away from the midday heat. Stay current on tick and flea prevention, which thrive in warm, damp conditions.

Grooming and coat care in Kothamangalam

Let the weather set the schedule, not the calendar. With the air stays humid through much of the year, so coat and skin care need attention, a American Bully XXL Size Puppy's coat and skin want checking more often through the long monsoon. On a larger coat, matting and trapped moisture are what to catch early. Stay current on tick and flea prevention, which thrive in warm, damp conditions.

Feeding a large dog here

Feed age-appropriate food matched to a large build, and change brands gradually rather than overnight. In humid coastal conditions water matters as much as food — the air stays humid through much of the year, so coat and skin care need attention, and appetite often dips before anything else shows.

Summer here peaks in March at about 34°C. That is manageable for a American Bully XXL Size, but watch it closely because its short muzzle makes panting less effective at shedding heat and a large body sheds heat slowly: keep activity to the cooler ends of the day and a shaded, ventilated spot indoors.

Winters stay warm, with even January nights around 23°C, so there is no cold season to plan for.

The rainy season runs from May to October, and June is usually the wettest month. Check for ticks after every walk.

For a new American Bully XXL Size puppy, the easiest months to arrive are December to January: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
