Health and vet care in Khengjoy

Preventive care in Khengjoy is largely a matter of anticipating the extended rainy season. Parasite control and skin checks earn their keep here more than they would elsewhere. The vaccination record travels with the puppy; staying on schedule is the single best habit there is. Maintain strict tick, flea and worm control, which peak in the wet season.

Is the Shih Tzu right for Khengjoy?

The Shih Tzu does well in Khengjoy, with one caveat worth knowing up front: near-constant moisture means skin, paw and bedding hygiene need real attention. For a bold, lively, friendly, small-sized breed that mostly changes when things happen rather than what happens. Towel-dry after every walk in the rains and check between the toes for irritation.

Feeding a small dog here

Diet is simpler than most guides make it. Good food suited to a small frame, fixed mealtimes, and any change phased in over a week. Because near-constant moisture means skin, paw and bedding hygiene need real attention, keep water available and watch intake through the extended rainy season.

Grooming and coat care in Khengjoy

Let the weather set the schedule, not the calendar. With near-constant moisture means skin, paw and bedding hygiene need real attention, a Shih Tzu's coat and skin want checking more often through the extended rainy season. On a smaller coat, irritation shows up well before matting does. Towel-dry after every walk in the rains and check between the toes for irritation.

The first week

Expect a quiet few days. Most puppies eat less and sleep more while they settle. Keep the food the same as before the move, introduce the household gradually rather than all at once, and hold off on visitors for a bit.
