Feeding a large dog here

Diet is simpler than most guides make it. Good food suited to a large frame, fixed mealtimes, and any change phased in over a week. Because the green, rainy climate is mild but demands dry shelter and grooming discipline, keep water available and watch intake through the extended rainy season.

Is the American Bully XL Size Puppy right for Selsella?

The American Bully XL Size Puppy does well in Selsella, with one caveat worth knowing up front: the green, rainy climate is mild but demands dry shelter and grooming discipline. For a confident, stable, good-natured, large-sized breed that mostly changes when things happen rather than what happens. Keep a dry, raised resting area — prolonged damp leads to skin and paw problems.

Grooming and coat care in Selsella

The aim is dry, clean skin — appearance comes second. Selsella being lush, wet tropical, the green, rainy climate is mild but demands dry shelter and grooming discipline, so a regular brush prevents most of what would otherwise become a vet visit. Keep a dry, raised resting area — prolonged damp leads to skin and paw problems.

Space and the outdoors with a American Bully XL Size Puppy

Homes around Selsella usually come with their own ground, which takes the pressure off a formal exercise plan. A breed this size needs that outdoor time to be dependable, not occasional.

The first week

Expect a quiet few days. Most puppies eat less and sleep more while they settle. Keep the food the same as before the move, introduce the household gradually rather than all at once, and hold off on visitors for a bit.

Summer here peaks in April at about 35°C. That is manageable for a American Bully XL Size, but watch it closely because its short muzzle makes panting less effective at shedding heat and a large body sheds heat slowly: keep activity to the cooler ends of the day and a shaded, ventilated spot indoors.

Winters are cool rather than cold, with January nights around 10°C.

The rainy season runs from April to October, and July is usually the wettest month. Check for ticks after every walk.

For a new American Bully XL Size puppy, the easiest months to arrive are November to February: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
