Living with a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Puppy in West Khasi Hills

With independent houses common, there is usually room for a small-sized breed to exercise at home. Owners in the region's hills tend to find this dog a family friendly, good with kids companion, and the settling-in is usually easier than the first week suggests.

Grooming and coat care in West Khasi Hills

The aim is dry, clean skin — appearance comes second. West Khasi Hills being monsoon-heavy, near-constant moisture means skin, paw and bedding hygiene need real attention, so a regular brush prevents most of what would otherwise become a vet visit. Ensure good airflow indoors to keep the coat and bedding from staying damp.

Feeding a small dog here

Diet is simpler than most guides make it. Good food suited to a small frame, fixed mealtimes, and any change phased in over a week. Because near-constant moisture means skin, paw and bedding hygiene need real attention, keep water available and watch intake through the extended rainy season.
