Summers here are mild, peaking at about 28°C in April, so heat is rarely the problem for a Pug that it is on the plains.

Winters are cool rather than cold, with January nights around 5°C. A Pug has a short, thin coat, so a light sweater helps on the coldest nights.

The rainy season runs from June to August, and July is usually the wettest month. Check for ticks after every walk.

For a new Pug puppy, the easiest months to arrive are April and October: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
