Exercise and routine through the extended rainy season in Mokokchung

The extended rainy season is the stretch that needs planning. Near-constant moisture means skin, paw and bedding hygiene need real attention, so split the activity across two cooler outings rather than one long session. Consistency does more for a Golden Retriever than intensity ever will. Maintain strict tick, flea and worm control, which peak in the wet season.

Living with a Golden Retriever in Mokokchung

With independent houses common, there is usually room for a large-sized breed to exercise at home. Owners in the North-East tend to find this dog a family friendly, good with kids companion, and the settling-in is usually easier than the first week suggests.

Is the Golden Retriever right for Mokokchung?

Start with the weather, not the breed standard. Here near-constant moisture means skin, paw and bedding hygiene need real attention, and a large-sized dog feels that more than an owner expects. The Golden Retriever adapts well to Mokokchung on a sensible routine — shorter outings, timed away from the midday heat. Towel-dry after every walk in the rains and check between the toes for irritation.

Grooming and coat care in Mokokchung

Let the weather set the schedule, not the calendar. With near-constant moisture means skin, paw and bedding hygiene need real attention, a Golden Retriever's coat and skin want checking more often through the extended rainy season. On a larger coat, matting and trapped moisture are what to catch early. Towel-dry after every walk in the rains and check between the toes for irritation.

The first week

The first week is about routine, not excitement. Feed at consistent times, let the puppy approach people in its own time rather than being passed around, and keep the diet unchanged at first.
