Is the Border Collie Puppy right for Nsong?

Nsong is high-rainfall tropical — rainfall is among the highest in the country, so wet-weather care is essential — and the Border Collie Puppy is a medium-sized, family friendly, good with kids breed. Those two facts decide most of what daily life looks like here. A breed this size copes well, provided shade and water are always within reach. Towel-dry after every walk in the rains and check between the toes for irritation.

Exercise and routine through the extended rainy season in Nsong

The extended rainy season is the stretch that needs planning. Rainfall is among the highest in the country, so wet-weather care is essential, so keep sessions short and frequent. Consistency does more for a Border Collie Puppy than intensity ever will. Keep a dry, raised resting area — prolonged damp leads to skin and paw problems.

The first week

Expect a quiet few days. Most puppies eat less and sleep more while they settle. Keep the food the same as before the move, introduce the household gradually rather than all at once, and hold off on visitors for a bit.

Grooming and coat care in Nsong

Let the weather set the schedule, not the calendar. With rainfall is among the highest in the country, so wet-weather care is essential, a Border Collie Puppy's coat and skin want checking more often through the extended rainy season. On a smaller coat, irritation shows up well before matting does. Towel-dry after every walk in the rains and check between the toes for irritation.

Feeding a medium dog here

Feed age-appropriate food matched to a medium build, and change brands gradually rather than overnight. In high-rainfall tropical conditions water matters as much as food — rainfall is among the highest in the country, so wet-weather care is essential, and appetite often dips before anything else shows.
