Exercise and routine through the long monsoon in Kendrapara

Build the day around local conditions rather than a figure from a breed chart. In Kendrapara, the air stays humid through much of the year, so coat and skin care need attention, which makes timing the variable that matters. Several brief outings suit this size better than one long one. Keep bedding dry and the resting area well-ventilated, especially during the monsoon.

Feeding a medium dog here

Feed age-appropriate food matched to a medium build, and change brands gradually rather than overnight. In humid coastal conditions water matters as much as food — the air stays humid through much of the year, so coat and skin care need attention, and appetite often dips before anything else shows.

Is the Cane Corso Puppy right for Kendrapara?

Kendrapara is humid coastal — the air stays humid through much of the year, so coat and skin care need attention — and the Cane Corso Puppy is a medium-sized, family friendly, good with kids breed. Those two facts decide most of what daily life looks like here. A breed this size copes well, provided shade and water are always within reach. Keep bedding dry and the resting area well-ventilated, especially during the monsoon.

The first week

The first week is about routine, not excitement. Feed at consistent times, let the puppy approach people in its own time rather than being passed around, and keep the diet unchanged at first.

Grooming and coat care in Kendrapara

Let the weather set the schedule, not the calendar. With the air stays humid through much of the year, so coat and skin care need attention, a Cane Corso Puppy's coat and skin want checking more often through the long monsoon. On a smaller coat, irritation shows up well before matting does. Keep bedding dry and the resting area well-ventilated, especially during the monsoon.

Kendrapara is hottest in April, averaging 39°C in the afternoon. A Cane Corso needs real protection from that because a large body sheds heat slowly: walks before 8 am and after 7 pm, a cool tiled floor or a cooler in the afternoons, fresh water in more than one place, and never a parked car.

Winters are mild, with January nights around 14°C, so cold is not a concern.

The rainy season runs from June to October, and August is usually the wettest month. Check for ticks after every walk.

For a new Cane Corso puppy, the easiest months to arrive are November to February: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
