Living with a Orignal Toy Pom Puppy in Khariar

Larger plots and open surroundings make this a comfortable setting for an active Orignal Toy Pom Puppy. Owners in the east tend to find this dog a family friendly, good with kids companion, and the settling-in is usually easier than the first week suggests.

Is the Orignal Toy Pom Puppy right for Khariar?

Khariar is coastal tropical — the sea-influenced humidity makes ventilation and dry bedding important — and the Orignal Toy Pom Puppy is a tiny-sized, family friendly, good with kids breed. Those two facts decide most of what daily life looks like here. A breed this size copes well, provided shade and water are always within reach. Dry the coat and ears thoroughly after baths or rain to prevent fungal and skin issues.

The first week

The first week is about routine, not excitement. Feed at consistent times, let the puppy approach people in its own time rather than being passed around, and keep the diet unchanged at first.

Feeding a tiny dog here

Diet is simpler than most guides make it. Good food suited to a tiny frame, fixed mealtimes, and any change phased in over a week. Because the sea-influenced humidity makes ventilation and dry bedding important, keep water available and watch intake through the long monsoon.

Khariar is hottest in May, averaging 43°C in the afternoon, and stays above 38°C from April to May. A Orignal Toy Pom needs real protection from that because its double coat holds heat close to the body: walks before 8 am and after 7 pm, a cool tiled floor or a cooler in the afternoons, fresh water in more than one place, and never a parked car.

Winters are mild, with January nights around 12°C, so cold is not a concern.

The rainy season runs from June to September, and July is usually the wettest month. Check for ticks after every walk; dry the coat right down to the skin after it gets wet, or it can develop skin infections.

For a new Orignal Toy Pom puppy, the easiest months to arrive are October to February: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
