Grooming and coat care in Khordha Sadar

Let the weather set the schedule, not the calendar. With moisture in the air can encourage skin and ear issues if grooming slips, a Afghan Hound Puppy's coat and skin want checking more often through the long monsoon. On a larger coat, matting and trapped moisture are what to catch early. Dry the coat and ears thoroughly after baths or rain to prevent fungal and skin issues.

Feeding a large dog here

Diet is simpler than most guides make it. Good food suited to a large frame, fixed mealtimes, and any change phased in over a week. Because moisture in the air can encourage skin and ear issues if grooming slips, keep water available and watch intake through the long monsoon.

Living with a Afghan Hound Puppy in Khordha Sadar

With independent houses common, there is usually room for a large-sized breed to exercise at home. Owners across the eastern region tend to find this dog a aloof, dignified, independent companion, and the settling-in is usually easier than the first week suggests.

The first week

Expect a quiet few days. Most puppies eat less and sleep more while they settle. Keep the food the same as before the move, introduce the household gradually rather than all at once, and hold off on visitors for a bit.
