Choosing this size band in Chawngte

Settle the size band against Chawngte's realities before comparing individual puppies. Rainfall is among the highest in the country, so wet-weather care is essential, and space is rarely the binding constraint in a town.

Preparing the home in Chawngte

Larger plots and open surroundings make this a comfortable setting for an active pet. Before the pet arrives, set aside a quiet corner away from through-traffic, sort out bedding, bowls and a carrier, and agree who is responsible for feeding and walks. Towel-dry after every walk in the rains and check between the toes for irritation.

Feeding and daily routine

Set meal times and stick to them; free-feeding makes it hard to notice when a pet goes off its food. Change diet slowly and only after the pet has settled. Chawngte's climate means rainfall is among the highest in the country, so wet-weather care is essential, so hydration deserves attention. Towel-dry after every walk in the rains and check between the toes for irritation.

Why more families across the North-Eastern states are choosing pets

Demand across the North-Eastern states is increasing year on year. Households around Chawngte often have the space for larger, more active breeds. Either way, matching the pet to the home matters more than picking a popular breed.

The first week

The first week is about routine, not excitement. Feed at consistent times, keep the same food initially, and let the pet approach people in its own time rather than being passed around. The vaccination record travels with the pet and we are contactable if you have questions.

Health, vaccination and the guarantee

Health checks, vaccination and deworming are completed before the pet travels, records come with it, and a 7-day health guarantee applies from delivery. After that, routine vet visits and seasonal care keep problems small — relevant in Chawngte, where rainfall is among the highest in the country, so wet-weather care is essential.
