Living with a Afghan Hound Puppy in Jalesar

Larger plots and open surroundings make this a comfortable setting for an active Afghan Hound Puppy. With more room to work with, the routine can stay informal, though it should still be regular.

Exercise and routine through the peak summer and winter swings in Jalesar

The peak summer and winter swings is the stretch that needs planning. The climate swings from hot summers to cool winters, so care changes with the season, so split the activity across two cooler outings rather than one long session. Consistency does more for a Afghan Hound Puppy than intensity ever will. Watch for seasonal coat shedding as temperatures change and brush accordingly.

Feeding a large dog here

Feed age-appropriate food matched to a large build, and change brands gradually rather than overnight. In hot-summer / cool-winter conditions water matters as much as food — the climate swings from hot summers to cool winters, so care changes with the season, and appetite often dips before anything else shows.

Grooming and coat care in Jalesar

Let the weather set the schedule, not the calendar. With the climate swings from hot summers to cool winters, so care changes with the season, a Afghan Hound Puppy's coat and skin want checking more often through the peak summer and winter swings. On a larger coat, matting and trapped moisture are what to catch early. Watch for seasonal coat shedding as temperatures change and brush accordingly.

The first week

Expect a quiet few days. Most puppies eat less and sleep more while they settle. Keep the food the same as before the move, introduce the household gradually rather than all at once, and hold off on visitors for a bit.

Jalesar is hottest in May, averaging 43°C in the afternoon, and stays above 38°C from April to June. A Afghan Hound needs real protection from that because a large body sheds heat slowly: walks before 8 am and after 7 pm, a cool tiled floor or a cooler in the afternoons, fresh water in more than one place, and never a parked car.

Winters are cool rather than cold, with January nights around 7°C.

The rainy season runs from July to August, and July is usually the wettest month. Check for ticks after every walk; dry inside the ears after baths and rain, since droopy ears trap moisture.

For a new Afghan Hound puppy, the easiest months to arrive are September to March: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
