Living with a Afghan Hound Puppy in Tehri Garhwal

Grooming and coat care in Tehri Garhwal

Let the weather set the schedule, not the calendar. With the cooler climate suits thick-coated breeds but needs winter planning for others, a Afghan Hound Puppy's coat and skin want checking more often through the cold winter season. On a larger coat, matting and trapped moisture are what to catch early. Older pets may need joint support as cold can stiffen movement.

Given the cooler climate suits thick-coated breeds but needs winter planning for others, the recurring ones here are skin and coat trouble, parasites and hydration — not the whole textbook. Keep vaccination and deworming on schedule, and book the check before the cold winter season rather than during it. Provide a warm, draught-free sleeping spot and a coat for short-haired breeds in winter.
