The first week

The first week is about routine, not excitement. Feed at consistent times, let the bird approach people in its own time rather than being passed around, and keep the diet unchanged at first.

Grooming and coat care in Nandikotkur

Let the weather set the schedule, not the calendar. With the sea-influenced humidity makes ventilation and dry bedding important, a Red Lorikeet's coat and skin want checking more often through the long monsoon. On a smaller coat, irritation shows up well before matting does. Keep bedding dry and the resting area well-ventilated, especially during the monsoon.

Health and vet care in Nandikotkur

Local climate decides which problems actually turn up. Given the sea-influenced humidity makes ventilation and dry bedding important, the recurring ones here are skin and coat trouble, parasites and hydration — not the whole textbook. Keep vaccination and deworming on schedule, and book the check before the long monsoon rather than during it. Dry the coat and ears thoroughly after baths or rain to prevent fungal and skin issues.

Space and the outdoors with a Red Lorikeet

Homes around Nandikotkur usually come with their own ground, which takes the pressure off a formal exercise plan. A small-sized breed manages this well when the outdoor time is genuinely regular.
