Exercise and routine through the long monsoon in Porumamilla

Build the day around local conditions rather than a figure from a breed chart. In Porumamilla, the air stays humid through much of the year, so coat and skin care need attention, which makes timing the variable that matters. Several brief outings suit this size better than one long one. Dry the coat and ears thoroughly after baths or rain to prevent fungal and skin issues.

Grooming and coat care in Porumamilla

Let the weather set the schedule, not the calendar. With the air stays humid through much of the year, so coat and skin care need attention, a Chattering Lorikeet's coat and skin want checking more often through the long monsoon. On a smaller coat, irritation shows up well before matting does. Keep bedding dry and the resting area well-ventilated, especially during the monsoon.

Feed age-appropriate food matched to a small build, and change brands gradually rather than overnight. In humid coastal conditions water matters as much as food — the air stays humid through much of the year, so coat and skin care need attention, and appetite often dips before anything else shows.
