Grooming and coat care in Jawalamukhi

Let the weather set the schedule, not the calendar. With winters get genuinely cold, so warmth and joint care take priority, a Chattering Lorikeet's coat and skin want checking more often through the cold winter season. On a smaller coat, irritation shows up well before matting does. Older pets may need joint support as cold can stiffen movement.

The first week

The first week is about routine, not excitement. Feed at consistent times, let the bird approach people in its own time rather than being passed around, and keep the diet unchanged at first.

Is the Chattering Lorikeet right for Jawalamukhi?

Jawalamukhi is cold mountain — winters get genuinely cold, so warmth and joint care take priority — and the Chattering Lorikeet is a small-sized, family friendly, good with kids breed.
