Is the Blue & Gold Macaw right for Pukhri?

Pukhri is temperate highland — crisp hill weather is comfortable for most dogs but harsh for short-coated ones in winter — and the Blue & Gold Macaw is a large-sized, family friendly, good with kids breed. Those two facts decide most of what daily life looks like here. A breed this size needs its hard exercise moved to the cooler hours. Keep up daily exercise — the cool weather is ideal for longer, more active walks.

Grooming and coat care in Pukhri

Let the weather set the schedule, not the calendar. With crisp hill weather is comfortable for most dogs but harsh for short-coated ones in winter, a Blue & Gold Macaw's coat and skin want checking more often through the cold winter season. On a larger coat, matting and trapped moisture are what to catch early. Keep up daily exercise — the cool weather is ideal for longer, more active walks.
