Grooming and coat care in Tapri

Let the weather set the schedule, not the calendar. With crisp hill weather is comfortable for most dogs but harsh for short-coated ones in winter, a African Grey Parrot's coat and skin want checking more often through the cold winter season. On a smaller coat, irritation shows up well before matting does. Provide a warm, draught-free sleeping spot and a coat for short-haired breeds in winter.

The cold winter season is the stretch that needs planning. Crisp hill weather is comfortable for most dogs but harsh for short-coated ones in winter, so keep sessions short and frequent. The first week

The first week is about routine, not excitement. Feed at consistent times, let the bird approach people in its own time rather than being passed around, and keep the diet unchanged at first.

Is the African Grey Parrot right for Tapri?

Tapri is temperate highland — crisp hill weather is comfortable for most dogs but harsh for short-coated ones in winter — and the African Grey Parrot is a medium-sized, family friendly, good with kids breed. Those two facts decide most of what daily life looks like here. A breed this size copes well, provided shade and water are always within reach. Provide a warm, draught-free sleeping spot and a coat for short-haired breeds in winter.

Feeding a medium bird here

Feed age-appropriate food matched to a medium build, and change brands gradually rather than overnight. In temperate highland conditions water matters as much as food — crisp hill weather is comfortable for most dogs but harsh for short-coated ones in winter, and appetite often dips before anything else shows.
