Is the Budgies right for Kannur?

Kannur is humid coastal — moisture in the air can encourage skin and ear issues if grooming slips — and the Budgies is a medium-sized, family friendly, good with kids breed. Those two facts decide most of what daily life looks like here. A breed this size copes well, provided shade and water are always within reach. Keep bedding dry and the resting area well-ventilated, especially during the monsoon.

The first week

The first week is about routine, not excitement. Feed at consistent times, let the bird approach people in its own time rather than being passed around, and keep the diet unchanged at first.
