Feeding a small bird here

Feed age-appropriate food matched to a small build, and change brands gradually rather than overnight. In high-rainfall tropical conditions water matters as much as food — the green, rainy climate is mild but demands dry shelter and grooming discipline, and appetite often dips before anything else shows.

The first week

The first week is about routine, not excitement. Feed at consistent times, let the bird approach people in its own time rather than being passed around, and keep the diet unchanged at first.

Larger plots and open surroundings make this a comfortable setting for an active Yellow Monk. Owners in the North-East tend to find this bird a family friendly, good with kids companion, and the settling-in is usually easier than the first week suggests.
