Health and vet care in Chizami

Local climate decides which problems actually turn up. Given rainfall is among the highest in the country, so wet-weather care is essential, the recurring ones here are skin and coat trouble, parasites and hydration — not the whole textbook. Keep vaccination and deworming on schedule, and book the check before the extended rainy season rather than during it. Keep a dry, raised resting area — prolonged damp leads to skin and paw problems.

Grooming and coat care in Chizami

Let the weather set the schedule, not the calendar. With rainfall is among the highest in the country, so wet-weather care is essential, a Yellow Monk's coat and skin want checking more often through the extended rainy season. On a smaller coat, irritation shows up well before matting does. Towel-dry after every walk in the rains and check between the toes for irritation.

The first week

The first week is about routine, not excitement. Feed at consistent times, let the bird approach people in its own time rather than being passed around, and keep the diet unchanged at first.

Space and the outdoors with a Yellow Monk
