Health and vet care in Longkhim

Local climate decides which problems actually turn up. Given rainfall is among the highest in the country, so wet-weather care is essential, the recurring ones here are skin and coat trouble, parasites and hydration — not the whole textbook. Keep vaccination and deworming on schedule, and book the check before the extended rainy season rather than during it. Towel-dry after every walk in the rains and check between the toes for irritation.

Feeding a medium bird here

Feed age-appropriate food matched to a medium build, and change brands gradually rather than overnight. In lush, wet tropical conditions water matters as much as food — rainfall is among the highest in the country, so wet-weather care is essential, and appetite often dips before anything else shows.

Living with a Budgies in Longkhim

Homes here often have more space and independent plots, which gives a Budgies room to move and settle in comfortably. Owners in the North-East tend to find this bird a family friendly, good with kids companion, and the settling-in is usually easier than the first week suggests.

Space and the outdoors with a Budgies

Homes around Longkhim usually come with their own ground, which takes the pressure off a formal exercise plan. A medium-sized breed manages this well when the outdoor time is genuinely regular.

The first week

Expect a quiet few days. Most birds eat less and sleep more while they settle. Keep the food the same as before the move, introduce the household gradually rather than all at once, and hold off on visitors for a bit.

The city sits at about 1,533 m above sea level, so it runs cooler than the plains around it.

Summers here are mild, peaking at about 26°C in June, so heat is rarely the problem for a Budgies that it is on the plains.

Winter nights fall to about 3°C in January. A Budgies feels that: bedding raised off the floor, a sweater or warm cover at night, and a room kept out of the draught.

The rainy season runs from May to September, and July is usually the wettest month. Keep the cage out of damp corners and change the paper daily.

For a new Budgies bird, the easiest months to arrive are October: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
