The first week

The first week is about routine, not excitement. Feed at consistent times, let the bird approach people in its own time rather than being passed around, and keep the diet unchanged at first.

Feeding a medium bird here

Feed age-appropriate food matched to a medium build, and change brands gradually rather than overnight. In high-rainfall tropical conditions water matters as much as food — rainfall is among the highest in the country, so wet-weather care is essential, and appetite often dips before anything else shows.

The Budgies adapts well to Longshen on a sensible routine — steady hydration and shade rather than reduced activity. Ensure good airflow indoors to keep the coat and bedding from staying damp.

Health and vet care in Longshen

Preventive care in Longshen is largely a matter of anticipating the extended rainy season. Parasite control and skin checks earn their keep here more than they would elsewhere. The vaccination record travels with the bird; staying on schedule is the single best habit there is. Keep a dry, raised resting area — prolonged damp leads to skin and paw problems.
