Small Exotic Birds in Kukunoor

Choosing this size band in Kukunoor

In Kukunoor, where homes usually have their own space, size matters less for housing and more for exercise. Given the sea-influenced humidity makes ventilation and dry bedding important, the real question is when the activity happens, not how much of it there is.

Local conditions in Kukunoor

The long monsoon is the stretch that needs planning here, Kukunoor being warm and humid. Stay current on tick and flea prevention, which thrive in warm, damp conditions. Get that rhythm right early and most of the avoidable problems never arrive.

The first week

Expect a quiet few days. Most pets eat less and sleep more while they adjust. Keep food the same as before the move, introduce the household gradually rather than all at once, and hold off on visitors. Vaccination and deworming dates come with the pet, and we stay reachable if anything looks off.

Feeding and daily routine

Feed at fixed times rather than leaving food out, and keep whatever diet the pet arrived on for the first fortnight before changing anything. In Kukunoor's warm and humid conditions, water matters as much as food — check the bowl more than once a day. Keep bedding dry and the resting area well-ventilated, especially during the monsoon.

Health, vaccination and the guarantee

Pets leave us vaccinated, dewormed and health-checked, with documentation included and a 7-day health guarantee from the day of delivery. Continuing the vaccination schedule matters, particularly given the warm and humid conditions in Kukunoor. Keep bedding dry and the resting area well-ventilated, especially during the monsoon.

Costs beyond the purchase

Plan for the running costs, not just the one-off. Boosters, deworming, food, grooming and the occasional vet visit are the ongoing commitment. Around Kukunoor, it is worth identifying your nearest vet before the pet arrives.

Why more families throughout peninsular India are choosing pets
