Grooming and coat care in Chidambaram

The aim is dry, clean skin — appearance comes second. Chidambaram being humid coastal, the air stays humid through much of the year, so coat and skin care need attention, so a regular brush prevents most of what would otherwise become a vet visit. Brush regularly — humidity makes mats and tangles form faster in longer coats.

Feeding a medium bird here

Feed age-appropriate food matched to a medium build, and change brands gradually rather than overnight. In humid coastal conditions water matters as much as food — the air stays humid through much of the year, so coat and skin care need attention, and appetite often dips before anything else shows.

Exercise and routine through the long monsoon in Chidambaram

Build the day around local conditions rather than a figure from a breed chart. In Chidambaram, the air stays humid through much of the year, so coat and skin care need attention, which makes timing the variable that matters. Several brief outings suit this size better than one long one. Brush regularly — humidity makes mats and tangles form faster in longer coats.

Health and vet care in Chidambaram

Local climate decides which problems actually turn up. Given the air stays humid through much of the year, so coat and skin care need attention, the recurring ones here are skin and coat trouble, parasites and hydration — not the whole textbook. Keep vaccination and deworming on schedule, and book the check before the long monsoon rather than during it. Brush regularly — humidity makes mats and tangles form faster in longer coats.

The first week

Expect a quiet few days. Most birds eat less and sleep more while they settle. Keep the food the same as before the move, introduce the household gradually rather than all at once, and hold off on visitors for a bit.
