Is the Yellow Naped Amazon right for Farrukhabad?

Start with the weather, not the breed standard. Here extreme summer heat and a brisk winter both need planning across the year, and a medium-sized bird feels that more than an owner expects. The Yellow Naped Amazon adapts well to Farrukhabad on a sensible routine — steady hydration and shade rather than reduced activity. Shift walks to early morning and late evening through the peak summer weeks.

Build the day around local conditions rather than a figure from a breed chart. For a new Yellow Naped Amazon bird, the easiest months to arrive in Farrukhabad are March, October and November: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
