Exercise and routine through the peak summer and winter swings in Naugarh

The peak summer and winter swings is the stretch that needs planning. Extreme summer heat and a brisk winter both need planning across the year, so split the activity across two cooler outings rather than one long session. Consistency does more for a Blue & Gold Macaw than intensity ever will. Keep deworming and vaccination on schedule — seasonal changes can stress the immune system.

Is the Blue & Gold Macaw right for Naugarh?

Start with the weather, not the breed standard. Here extreme summer heat and a brisk winter both need planning across the year, and a large-sized bird feels that more than an owner expects. The Blue & Gold Macaw adapts well to Naugarh on a sensible routine — shorter outings, timed away from the midday heat. Watch for seasonal coat shedding as temperatures change and brush accordingly.

Grooming and coat care in Naugarh

The aim is dry, clean skin — appearance comes second. Naugarh being continental plains, extreme summer heat and a brisk winter both need planning across the year, so a regular brush prevents most of what would otherwise become a vet visit. Watch for seasonal coat shedding as temperatures change and brush accordingly.

Naugarh is hottest in May, averaging 41°C in the afternoon, and stays above 38°C from April to June. A Blue & Gold Macaw needs real protection from that: a cage well away from windows and direct sun, a shallow bath dish, and a room that stays under about 32°C.

Winters are cool rather than cold, with January nights around 10°C. A light sweater helps a large Blue & Gold Macaw on the coldest nights.

The rainy season runs from June to September, and July is usually the wettest month. Keep the cage out of damp corners and change the paper daily.

For a new Blue & Gold Macaw bird, the easiest months to arrive in Naugarh are February, March, October and November: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
