Gift a Pet to Your Family in Pune City from New Zealand

Gifting from New Zealand to Pune City

You select the pet and pay from New Zealand; we deliver to your family's address in Pune City, Maharashtra. India runs 6.5 to 7.5 hours behind New Zealand, which is the practical detail most people underestimate — we agree when to call before anything is booked, rather than leaving it to chance. Delivery is coordinated carefully to reach your address with minimal travel stress for the pet.

Choosing a pet that suits Pune City

Pune City has a coastal tropical climate, which means moisture in the air can encourage skin and ear issues if grooming slips. Brush regularly — humidity makes mats and tangles form faster in longer coats. With independent houses common, there is usually room for a medium-sized breed to exercise at home. What suits a home in New Zealand is often the wrong answer for Pune City, so we work backwards from the destination.

What your family receives

The pet arrives with its vaccination record and health documentation, and a 7-day health guarantee runs from delivery. We brief whoever receives the pet on feeding, vaccination schedule and settling-in, and we stay reachable afterwards — useful when the person who paid is several time zones away. Families across the western region use this to mark birthdays, exam results and homecomings.

Preparing the home in Pune City

With independent houses common, there is usually room for a medium-sized breed to exercise at home. Get the basics in place first — a defined resting area, bowls, a carrier and a plan for who handles the daily routine. Brush regularly — humidity makes mats and tangles form faster in longer coats.

Feeding and daily routine

Feed at fixed times rather than leaving food out, and keep whatever diet the pet arrived on for the first fortnight before changing anything. In Pune City's coastal tropical conditions, water matters as much as food — check the bowl more than once a day. Brush regularly — humidity makes mats and tangles form faster in longer coats.

Common mistakes to avoid

The frequent errors are choosing on appearance rather than temperament, underestimating exercise needs, and changing diet too quickly. In Pune City specifically, the other one is ignoring the season — Stay current on tick and flea prevention, which thrive in warm, damp conditions.

Which kind of pet suits Pune City

Choosing between a dog, a cat and a bird matters more than choosing a breed. In Pune City, where moisture in the air can encourage skin and ear issues if grooming slips, a dog commits you to outdoor time in local conditions, a cat is largely indoors and self-directed, and birds need a steady, draught-free spot. Stay current on tick and flea prevention, which thrive in warm, damp conditions.

Health, vaccination and the guarantee

Pets leave us vaccinated, dewormed and health-checked, with documentation included and a 7-day health guarantee from the day of delivery. Continuing the vaccination schedule matters, particularly given the coastal tropical conditions in Pune City. Brush regularly — humidity makes mats and tangles form faster in longer coats.

The first week

Expect a quiet few days. Most pets eat less and sleep more while they adjust. Keep food the same as before the move, introduce the household gradually rather than all at once, and hold off on visitors. Vaccination and deworming dates come with the pet, and we stay reachable if anything looks off.
