You select the pet and pay from New Zealand; we deliver to your family's address in Srivaikuntam, Tamil Nadu. India runs 6.5 to 7.5 hours behind New Zealand, which is the practical detail most people underestimate — we agree when to call before anything is booked, rather than leaving it to chance. Our team plans the route in advance for a safe handover at your doorstep.

Choosing a pet that suits Srivaikuntam

Srivaikuntam has a humid coastal climate, which means moisture in the air can encourage skin and ear issues if grooming slips. Stay current on tick and flea prevention, which thrive in warm, damp conditions. Homes here often have more space and independent plots, which gives a pet room to move and settle in comfortably. We recommend on the basis of the destination rather than the sender's location.

What your family receives

The pet arrives with its vaccination record and health documentation, and a 7-day health guarantee runs from delivery. The person receiving the pet is taken through diet, vaccination dates and how to settle it in, and we stay reachable afterwards — useful when the person who paid is several time zones away. Families throughout peninsular India use this to mark weddings, graduations and the first day in a new house.

Why more families throughout peninsular India are choosing pets

Interest in pet ownership throughout peninsular India is growing steadily. Smaller households, more time spent at home and better access to veterinary care have all contributed. In Srivaikuntam specifically, more generous plot sizes widen the range of workable breeds.

Common mistakes to avoid

Most problems trace back to three things: picking a breed for looks, not matching energy levels to the household, and switching food abruptly. Locally, add a fourth — planning the routine without regard for the long monsoon. Brush regularly — humidity makes mats and tangles form faster in longer coats.

Health, vaccination and the guarantee

Every pet is vaccinated and health-checked before handover and travels with its records. A 7-day health guarantee runs from delivery. Keep the vaccination schedule going after that — in Srivaikuntam's humid coastal conditions, Brush regularly — humidity makes mats and tangles form faster in longer coats.

Costs beyond the purchase

Plan for the running costs, not just the one-off. Boosters, deworming, food, grooming and the occasional vet visit are the ongoing commitment. Around Srivaikuntam, it is worth identifying your nearest vet before the pet arrives.

Which kind of pet suits Srivaikuntam

Dogs, cats and exotic birds all do well in Srivaikuntam, but they ask for different things. A dog needs daily outdoor time, which is easier to plan around Srivaikuntam's humid coastal conditions if walks are kept to the cooler ends of the day. Cats suit households that are out for long stretches. Birds need stable temperatures and no draughts. Dry the coat and ears thoroughly after baths or rain to prevent fungal and skin issues.

Feeding and daily routine

Set meal times and stick to them; free-feeding makes it hard to notice when a pet goes off its food. Change diet slowly and only after the pet has settled. Srivaikuntam's climate means moisture in the air can encourage skin and ear issues if grooming slips, so hydration deserves attention. Brush regularly — humidity makes mats and tangles form faster in longer coats.
