Exercise and daily routine in Imphal East

Build the day around Imphal East's conditions rather than a number from a breed chart. The extended rainy season needs the most thought, because rainfall is among the highest in the country, so wet-weather care is essential. A smaller breed does better with several short ones. On difficult days, the space at home covers most of it.

Vet care and seasonal health in Imphal East

Local climate decides which problems actually turn up. With rainfall is among the highest in the country, so wet-weather care is essential, the recurring ones here are skin and coat trouble, parasites and hydration — not the full textbook list. Keep vaccination and deworming on schedule, and book the check before the extended rainy season rather than during it. Keep a dry, raised resting area — prolonged damp leads to skin and paw problems.

Shih Tzu and Imphal East's climate

Weather shapes a Shih Tzu's day here more than any breed guide will tell you. With rainfall is among the highest in the country, so wet-weather care is essential, a breed this size manages fine, as long as shade and water are never far. Keep a dry, raised resting area — prolonged damp leads to skin and paw problems.

Is a Shih Tzu a good fit for Imphal East?

A Shih Tzu does well in Imphal East if the routine suits the place. Space is rarely the limit here, so the routine can stay informal — which is to say a small breed is comfortable in the space a town home usually offers. The other half is the weather: rainfall is among the highest in the country, so wet-weather care is essential. Ensure good airflow indoors to keep the coat and bedding from staying damp.

Preparing the home in Imphal East

Larger plots and open surroundings make this a comfortable setting for an active pet. Before the pet arrives, set aside a quiet corner away from through-traffic, sort out bedding, bowls and a carrier, and agree who is responsible for feeding and walks. Ensure good airflow indoors to keep the coat and bedding from staying damp.

Common mistakes to avoid

Avoid choosing on looks alone, overestimating how much exercise the household can realistically provide, and rushing a diet change. In Imphal East, also plan around the extended rainy season rather than assuming a year-round routine. Ensure good airflow indoors to keep the coat and bedding from staying damp.

Why more families in the North-East are choosing pets

Pet ownership in the North-East is growing steadily, driven by changing household patterns and easier access to vets and supplies. In and around Imphal East, space is less of a constraint than it is in the metros.

Feeding and daily routine

Feed at fixed times rather than leaving food out, and keep whatever diet the pet arrived on for the first fortnight before changing anything. In Imphal East's high-rainfall tropical conditions, water matters as much as food — check the bowl more than once a day. Ensure good airflow indoors to keep the coat and bedding from staying damp.

Costs beyond the purchase

Think in terms of years rather than the purchase. Vaccinations, food, grooming and vet care continue for the life of the pet. In Imphal East, locate your nearest vet in advance so an urgent visit is not a scramble.

The first week

The first week is about routine, not excitement. Feed at consistent times, keep the same food initially, and let the pet approach people in its own time rather than being passed around. The vaccination record travels with the pet and we are contactable if you have questions.
