Shih Tzu | Black & White | North 24 Parganas

Is a Shih Tzu a good fit for North 24 Parganas?

Look past the breed guide for a moment. North 24 Parganas is coastal tropical, moisture in the air can encourage skin and ear issues if grooming slips, and homes tend to have their own plot. Put those together and a small breed is comfortable in the space a town home usually offers. That combination, not the breed standard, is what owners here actually live with. Keep bedding dry and the resting area well-ventilated, especially during the monsoon.

Grooming a Shih Tzu through the long monsoon in North 24 Parganas

Keep bedding dry and the resting area well-ventilated, especially during the monsoon.

Exercise and daily routine in North 24 Parganas

Outdoor time is easy to come by in North 24 Parganas, which suits an active dog. What a small Shih Tzu really wants is predictability — the same walk times each day, kept to the cooler hours through the long monsoon. Several brief outings suit this size better than a single long session.

Shih Tzu and North 24 Parganas's climate

Weather shapes a Shih Tzu's day here more than any breed guide will tell you. With moisture in the air can encourage skin and ear issues if grooming slips, a breed this size manages fine, as long as shade and water are never far. Stay current on tick and flea prevention, which thrive in warm, damp conditions.

Health, vaccination and the guarantee

Health checks, vaccination and deworming are completed before the pet travels, records come with it, and a 7-day health guarantee applies from delivery. After that, routine vet visits and seasonal care keep problems small — relevant in North 24 Parganas, where moisture in the air can encourage skin and ear issues if grooming slips.

Preparing the home in North 24 Parganas

Homes here often have more space and independent plots, which gives a pet room to move and settle in comfortably. Dry the coat and ears thoroughly after baths or rain to prevent fungal and skin issues.

The first week

The first week is about routine, not excitement. Feed at consistent times, keep the same food initially, and let the pet approach people in its own time rather than being passed around. The vaccination record travels with the pet and we are contactable if you have questions.
