Shih Tzu and Siaha's climate

This is the part most new owners underestimate. Siaha is monsoon-heavy — the green, rainy climate is mild but demands dry shelter and grooming discipline — and for a small dog that is the single biggest practical factor. Smaller breeds cope better with the heat but dehydrate faster, so water access matters more than pace. Maintain strict tick, flea and worm control, which peak in the wet season.

Exercise and daily routine in Siaha

Consistency beats intensity. The routine can stay loose here, but it should still be regular, particularly through the extended rainy season, when the green, rainy climate is mild but demands dry shelter and grooming discipline. For a breed this size, keep the sessions short and frequent.

Grooming a Shih Tzu through the extended rainy season in Siaha

The aim here is dry, clean skin — appearance is secondary. Siaha's monsoon-heavy conditions mean the green, rainy climate is mild but demands dry shelter and grooming discipline, so a Shih Tzu kept here needs its grooming rhythm matched to the season rather than fixed year-round. Maintain strict tick, flea and worm control, which peak in the wet season.

Is a Shih Tzu a good fit for Siaha?

A Shih Tzu does well in Siaha if the routine suits the place. Space is rarely the limit here, so the routine can stay informal — which is to say a small breed is comfortable in the space a town home usually offers. The other half is the weather: the green, rainy climate is mild but demands dry shelter and grooming discipline. Maintain strict tick, flea and worm control, which peak in the wet season.

Feeding and daily routine

A predictable feeding routine settles a new pet faster than anything else. Keep the existing diet for the first two weeks, then transition gradually over several days. Given the monsoon-heavy weather around Siaha, fresh water should be topped up regularly. Maintain strict tick, flea and worm control, which peak in the wet season.

Costs beyond the purchase

The purchase price is the smaller part of the commitment. Budget for vaccination boosters, routine vet visits, food, grooming and occasional treatment. Grooming frequency in particular is driven by local conditions — in Siaha's monsoon-heavy climate, the green, rainy climate is mild but demands dry shelter and grooming discipline.

The first week

Expect a quiet few days. Most pets eat less and sleep more while they adjust. Keep food the same as before the move, introduce the household gradually rather than all at once, and hold off on visitors. Vaccination and deworming dates come with the pet, and we stay reachable if anything looks off.

Why more families across the North-Eastern states are choosing pets

Pet ownership across the North-Eastern states is growing steadily, driven by changing household patterns and easier access to vets and supplies. In and around Siaha, space is less of a constraint than it is in the metros.

Common mistakes to avoid

Avoid choosing on looks alone, overestimating how much exercise the household can realistically provide, and rushing a diet change. In Siaha, also plan around the extended rainy season rather than assuming a year-round routine. Maintain strict tick, flea and worm control, which peak in the wet season.

Health, vaccination and the guarantee

Every pet is vaccinated and health-checked before handover and travels with its records. A 7-day health guarantee runs from delivery. Keep the vaccination schedule going after that — in Siaha's monsoon-heavy conditions, Ensure good airflow indoors to keep the coat and bedding from staying damp.

Which kind of pet suits Siaha

Start with the species, not the breed. Siaha's monsoon-heavy climate means the green, rainy climate is mild but demands dry shelter and grooming discipline, which shapes how practical a dog's exercise routine is here. Cats and small birds are less weather-dependent and often the easier first pet. Maintain strict tick, flea and worm control, which peak in the wet season.
