Dogo Argentino Puppy | Mawsynram

Is a Dogo Argentino Puppy a good fit for Mawsynram?

Two things decide this, and neither is the breed itself: what the housing looks like and what the weather does. Most homes in Mawsynram come with their own ground, so a medium-sized breed is comfortable in the space a town home usually offers. And since near-constant moisture means skin, paw and bedding hygiene need real attention, the daily routine ends up mattering more than the floor space. Maintain strict tick, flea and worm control, which peak in the wet season.

Health, vaccination and the guarantee

Keep the vaccination schedule going after that — in Mawsynram's monsoon-heavy conditions, Ensure good airflow indoors to keep the coat and bedding from staying damp.

Feeding and daily routine

Feed at fixed times rather than leaving food out, and keep whatever diet the pet arrived on for the first fortnight before changing anything. In Mawsynram's monsoon-heavy conditions, water matters as much as food — check the bowl more than once a day. Ensure good airflow indoors to keep the coat and bedding from staying damp.

Common mistakes to avoid

The frequent errors are choosing on appearance rather than temperament, underestimating exercise needs, and changing diet too quickly. In Mawsynram specifically, the other one is ignoring the season — Ensure good airflow indoors to keep the coat and bedding from staying damp.
