Is a English Bull Dog Puppy a good fit for Mon?

A English Bull Dog Puppy does well in Mon if the routine suits the place. Space is rarely the limit here, so the routine can stay informal — which is to say a medium-sized breed is comfortable in the space a town home usually offers. The other half is the weather: the green, rainy climate is mild but demands dry shelter and grooming discipline. Maintain strict tick, flea and worm control, which peak in the wet season.

The first week

Common mistakes to avoid

Most problems trace back to three things: picking a breed for looks, not matching energy levels to the household, and switching food abruptly. Locally, add a fourth — planning the routine without regard for the extended rainy season. Towel-dry after every walk in the rains and check between the toes for irritation.

Feeding and daily routine

Feed at fixed times rather than leaving food out, and keep whatever diet the pet arrived on for the first fortnight before changing anything. In Mon's monsoon-heavy conditions, water matters as much as food — check the bowl more than once a day. Towel-dry after every walk in the rains and check between the toes for irritation.
