French Mastiff Puppy and Guwahati's climate

Guwahati's high-rainfall tropical conditions mean the green, rainy climate is mild but demands dry shelter and grooming discipline. The practical rule that follows is simple: short exertion in the cooler hours, rather than long midday walks. Most of the advice written for the whole country misses this. Ensure good airflow indoors to keep the coat and bedding from staying damp.

Why more families in the North-East are choosing pets

Demand in the North-East is among the highest in the state. Metro households like those in Guwahati tend toward smaller, indoor-friendly breeds. Either way, matching the pet to the home matters more than picking a popular breed.

Common mistakes to avoid

The first week

The first week is about routine, not excitement. Feed at consistent times, keep the same food initially, and let the pet approach people in its own time rather than being passed around. The vaccination record travels with the pet and we are contactable if you have questions.

Feeding and daily routine

A predictable feeding routine settles a new pet faster than anything else. Keep the existing diet for the first two weeks, then transition gradually over several days. Preparing the home in Guwahati

Most homes here are apartments and gated flats, so a medium-sized breed that adapts to indoor living is a practical choice. Get the basics in place first — a defined resting area, bowls, a carrier and a plan for who handles the daily routine.
